Wendy Albright Endorses Alan Moore
Consistently Stepped Forward To Ease Burdens for Others
I first met Alan Moore about 22 years ago, when our families shared preschool pick-up duties amid demanding schedules. That simple arrangement quickly revealed his character: Alan consistently stepped forward to ease burdens for others. A longtime Boston Fire Department volunteer and former chief, he has also served over 25 years as a reserve deputy with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department. Beyond his IT career—spanning corporate roles and his own businesses—he devoted countless hours to modernizing the Sheriff’s infrastructure, often delivering near-complete solutions before anyone asked.
For 14 years, I’ve proudly served alongside him as a reserve deputy. Alan has mentored me and many others, co-developed our community policing program (active for over a decade), and founded the warrant task force to reduce outstanding cases. His forward-thinking IT expertise has benefited offices countywide, including EMA and Dispatch.
Service defines him. During a summer Boy Scout camp crisis, he cleared his calendar for a full week to support 15 boys—then stayed on as assistant scoutmaster for seven years. Though he has no sons himself, he has 2 daughters and invests deeply in youth: advising Explorers, volunteering with Boys & Girls Clubs and 4-H. He secured grants for advanced gear—radios, computers, robots, drones—and certified our drone program.
Alan Moore is of impeccable moral character. I wholeheartedly endorse him for sheriff: a proven, strong leader who will serve our community well.
