Today you will be having a guest speaker - Chief Deputy Alan Moore - Republican Candidate for
Wayne County Sheriff. I was planning on being there - to show my support for Allan - but I apologize
for having to miss this event. Please accept my apologies and allow me to tell you why Alan Moore is
the best man for the job of Sheriff of Wayne County.

One of the facts Alan will humbly share with you - he has been with the sheriff's department since
1995. You have heard the saying - 'Learn by Doing' - well that is how Alan has become the best
qualified candidate for Sheriff. Alan began his career has a reserve deputy, spending lots of time on
horseback - keeping the citizens of Wayne County safe, interacting with people at the Wayne County
Fair. Many more days and nights, patrolling our county roads, small towns and neighborhoods -
keeping a watch over your families.

As a former Commissioner, during the building of the new jail, I worked closely with the Sheriff's
Department. I remember how the Sheriff would tell me about this guy called, Moore, who was
bringing the Wayne County Sheriff's lT department into the 21't century. Alan worked long hours,
many volunteer; to implement new procedures for, not only the improvement of the Sheriff's lT
department, but for the safety and well being of the deputies and staff.

lntegrity, honesty, management experience and believing in safety first, are some of the qualities you
will find in Alan. He has worked in almost all the departments of the Sheriff's office. ln my opinion his
knowledge on how to manage the jail is one his most important assets. His interaction with his fellow
deputies and staff has always been professional. His business ethics stand out as one of his upper most
qualities.

As you listen to his stories of some of his experiences as a deputy - think about how important it is to
have a humble, honest, highly principled sheriff for Wayne County, not to mention a caring individual
who has given so much for the safety and well being of the citizens of Wayne County.

Alan Moore is my choice for Wayne County Sheriff - I hope you will join me in voting for Alan on
May 5th.
