I am writing to express my support for Chief Deputy Alan Moore to serve as the next Sheriff of Wayne County. I have known Alan for over thirty years and observed his dedication, enthusiasm and work ethics within the sheriff’s department and county government in general.

Alan has served this community with honor and has shown his leadership and technical skills in both the sheriff’s department and county government. As any Indiana Sheriff or Chief of Police can tell you there is a lot more to the Sheriff Department than just law enforcement. The Office of Sheriff is unique in that the Sheriff is also responsible for jail operations, civil process and courthouse security. A liability most people are unwilling to take on let alone run for the position. 

Alan, who started at the Sheriff’s Dept. as a volunteer Mounted Patrol member and Sheriff's Reserve Deputy knows the importance of these special units to the citizens of Wayne Co. in safety, taxpayer savings and Public Relations. 

In conclusion, I am honored to Endorse Chief Deputy Alan Moore and encourage all Citizens of Wayne County to VOTE for Alan on May 5th.
