Barry Ritter Endorses Alan Moore
It is This Dedication & Experience That We Need In Our Next Wayne County Sheriff
Alan is not the person that you normally see in the forefront. In all of the years that I've known Alan, Alan is the person behind the scenes getting the job done.
He's a doer. He's a planner. He's an organizer. He works to make sure that things get done. In my experiene, in public safety with him, that has been extremely important.
We know Alan from his public safety service, but his background and experience is significant. As a small business owner, he knows about networking with others, he knows about research and development, budgets, personnel, and getting the job done.
Alan's experience in IT is extensive, which is an every-day need in modern law enforcement.; something we've benefitted from for years here in Wayne County.
Rich Rankin and I had an opportunity to put a plan together with Commissioners and Council and lured Alan back to the County. He became the first public safety IT coordinator for Wayne County. He was successful and the tools have continued to grow and increase and his influence in that world has benefitted all public safety agencies in this county. We probably have one of the premier 9-1-1 centers in the state - with the technologies - and Alan has been instrumental in that for the taxpayers in this county.
For the past four years, Alan has served as the Chief Deputy for Sheriff Retter and has been responsible for more than 120 employees serving in the courts, in the jail, and in the enforcement division.
Alan has been a giver to that department, and during that time served as a supervisor for the reserve progarm for almost 17 years.
For 27 years, Alan Moore has served the Wayne County citizens for free; as a police officer, being a reserve, and technology. He's built a mobile command center that we utilize on a regular basis and he's done that for free.
It is this dedication and experience that we need in our next Sheriff for Wayne County.
