I am writing to offer my endorsement of Alan Moore for Wayne County Sheriff. Alan is a leader and has dedicated most of his life to service and the betterment of Wayne County.  He has shown, without question, that he has the integrity, the ability, and the knowledge to be the next Wayne County Sheriff. 

I have been associated with the Sheriff’s Office since 2005, working there as a full-time merit patrolman, a reserve deputy, and currently serving on the merit board. I have had the pleasure to work with Alan in each of those roles. In his role as a volunteer, Alan has served with distinction as a member of the Mounted Patrol.

Now, as Chief Deputy, he has overseen the day-to-day operations of the Department since 2022.  In addition to his work at the Sheriff’s Department, Alan has worked as the Public Safety Technology Coordinator for Wayne County and developed deep and lasting relationships with the men and women of Wayne County’s 911 center.  

Alan has strong ties to the community and is responsible for launching the County’s first Internet Service Provider.  I have personally observed Alan’s dedication to service and in almost 10,000 hours of volunteer work, I’ve seen him work with all public service agencies (including schools); this work has been professional, effective, and has increased the safety of all citizens of Wayne County.

On May 5, 2026, I encourage everyone to vote ALAN MOORE FOR WAYNE COUNTY SHERIFF.
